Chameleon Digitization has been nominated for the Innovator of the Year Award, at this year’s UK Housing Award.
The Scottish software development company has been shortlisted for the innovator of the year award. This nomination recognise its development of the Chameleon Detect system. Chameleon Detect is an intelligent, autonomous safety solution which continuously detects the presence of high-risk items in buildings. These can be gas and oxygen canisters. The solution monitors those entering a building, scanning for explosive canisters or high-risk items, alerting contacts if one is detected.
This innovative, cost-effective, and highly accurate technology improves the security and wellbeing of tenants. It mitigates against dangerous, complex, and expensive incidents taking place. Fatal incidents like the Ronan Point explosion, and Grenfell Tower, highlight the fire risk facing tenants of high-rise buildings. Chameleon Detect is helping to protect tenants in Scotland by working in partnership with local authorities and housing associations.
